Voutes has deep historical roots and is mentioned in Venetian censuses under the name "Vuttes." A significant moment for the region was the fierce battles fought during the Turkish occupation, while the village was severely damaged by the devastating earthquake of 1856, which claimed the lives of 42 people. Despite the hardships, Voutes was reborn and continued to thrive.
