The eighth route of the E4 European Long Distance Path is about 24,5 kilometers and lasts 8 hours. It is better to follow it in spring or autumn, it is not a difficult route and there are red signs to help you following it. The route starts from Sougia and the asphalted road that goes through the Sougia Gorge. You turn right to the fork after 2 kilometers and go down for 800 meters till the bridge from where you can go to the opposite bank.From that point, you go up to the hill and, after 4 kilometers, you arrive at the Livada village. You continue on the asphalted road and reach Koustogerako that is 500 meters above the sea level. Then, you go from the central square of Koustogerako up to the hill and enjoy the view of the Selinos province. Turn left to a fork after 2 kilometers and, after 1 kilometer, pass by a right fork and go up to the north following the road there that goes to a flat point after 1 kilometer. Going to the north and after 20 minutes, you reach a stream and follow it till Olisma. You continue to the north on that road for 2,5 kilometers where you see a circular mitato (i.e. shepherd’s shelter) and, afterwards, the Omalos-Agia Eirini road. There you turn right, pass the Agios Theodoros church and end to Omalos after 1,5 kilometers.
