The fourth route of the E4 European long distance Path is about 14,5 kilometers and lasts about 4 and a half hours. The ideal time of the year in order to visit it is from spring to autumn. It is not a difficult route and there are red signs in order not to be lost. The route starts from the coastal road of Palaiochora where, after the “Palaiochora” camping,you turn right to the dirt road before the gorge of Alogirgianos River. Following the dirt road that passes through the river, turn right in the fork that goes along the beach. After 1,5 kilometers, continue to the path that goes through the end of the Anidriotiko gorge (or Dichalomata stream) and along the sea. 3,5 kilometers after the dirt road, go upward and, after 2 kilometers, find and follow the road for 1,5 kilometers. 1 kilometer after that road, you reach the ancient Lissos city. After that, go upward, pass the col, go down and follow the gorge. The port of Sougia is at the end of the gorge, that is 2,5 kilometers from Lissos, and the Sougia Settlement is 500 meters from the gorge through the coastal road.
