Founded in 1982, the Labyrinth Musical Workshop has been operating since 2002 under the municipal development company ELTYNA of the former Nikos Kazantzakis Municipality. Under the artistic direction of Ross Daly, the center not only functions as a museum but also as a significant educational and research center, dedicated to preserving and spreading traditional music from around the world. It regularly hosts concerts and music seminars, featuring celebrated musicians and traditional music enthusiasts. Every summer, the Houdetsi Festival, the center’s flagship event, draws artists and visitors from around the world.

Apart from its cultural activities, the Labyrinth Workshop includes a specialized workshop for instrument maintenance and construction, ensuring the integrity and quality of the items on display. Internationally recognized for its contribution to traditional music preservation and promotion, the Labyrinth continues to inspire and connect cultures through the power of music.
