The Loutra Gorge, also known as Voulekgremo, is located near Lentas in southern Heraklion, Crete. This stunning geological feature spans approximately 8 kilometers, starting from the northern part of the village of Krotos and extending to the sea. During the winter months, the gorge fills with water flowing from the surrounding hills, creating a beautiful natural spectacle.

Access to the gorge is via a dirt road connecting the beach of Trypiti with the small harbor of Loutra, located about 16 kilometers from Lentas. The trail through the gorge begins narrow, surrounded by impressive rock formations and loose slopes. Just before reaching the sea, the terrain widens, leading to the beautiful beach of Trachoula, which remains secluded and offers unique relaxation opportunities.

The beach of Loutra, located at the end of the gorge, is characterized by its clear, blue waters and wild, rocky shores. This beach is not organized, making it ideal for those seeking peace and solitude in nature.
