Glyka Nera (Sweet Waters) Beach, one of Europe’s 20 most beautiful beaches according to the Times of London, is located 8 km west of Chora Sfakion. Its name derives from the fresh water springs that flow directly from the beach. The crystal-clear, deep waters and pebbled shore make it a serene escape, while tamarisk trees provide natural shade. Accessible by boat or via the E4 hiking trail connecting Loutro and Sfakia, the beach offers a quiet retreat. A small tavern on the western side serves food and drinks to visitors.
